Oklahoma City Thunder guard Alex Caruso believes Victor Wembanyama is still not on the offensive level of the NBA’s biggest superstars, saying he lacks strength, which defenders have to use to their advantage.
Oklahoma City Thunder lockdown defender Alex Caruso named Victor Wembanyama’s biggest weakness after their game against the San Antonio Spurs earlier this week, which they ended up winning 119–98.

Caruso believes Wemby is still a really raw player, and although his length is a big issue for opponents, he doesn’t have enough strength, which is something defenders have to take advantage of when playing against him.
“Offensively he’s still really raw,” Caruso said postgame, via Daniel Bell. “His length is an issue, but he’s not as strong as a Giannis, like a Jokic, Sengun, KD even… That’s something you have to use to your advantage.”
Against the Thunder on Tuesday, Wemby finished with 17 points on 7-of-15 shooting from the field.
Wemby’s season averages are far more impressive, as the 22-year-old French superstar is averaging 23.7 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game.
