Albion cut ticket prices as details of Anfield cup tie are revealed

[Albion](https://www.theargus.co.uk/sport/albion/?ref=au) are subsidising ticket prices for their FA Cup fourth-round tie at Liverpool.

The match has been confirmed for Saturday, February 14 (8pm) – another potential logistical headache for supporters travelling from the south.

However the Seagulls will help season ticket holders and 1901 Club members meet the cost of admission.

Albion were cheered by about 1,000 fans in their third round win at Manchester United, a following that was greatly reduced by factors involving scheduling, prices and TV coverage.

They hope to have more than 3,000 making a sea of blue and white in the Anfield Road End.

There is also a special offer planned on replica home shirts and, while unconfirmed, it is expected Albion will wear blue and white at Anfield.

Adult ticket prices are £30-34 but these will be trimmed to £20 by the club’s subsidy.

Prices for 65-plus are £22.50 and £25.50 but Albion will reduce those to £15.

Ages 17-21 will page £10 instead of £15-17 and under-17s remain at £5.

Announcing the prices, Albion told fans: “We know this is our sixth trip to the north-west this season and the 8pm kick-off presents logistical challenges for travelling fans.

“Your support across the country has been incredible, and we hope this gesture will enable more Albion fans to be at Anfield as we look to progress in the FA Cup.

“In further recognition of the support we continue to receive, ALL supporters heading to Anfield for our Emirates FA Cup fourth round tie against Liverpool can also take advantage of a special retail offer on this season’s home replica shirt.”

Ticket sales start on Tuesday for all season ticket holders and 1901 Club members.
