As previously reported by The Star, Sheffield Wednesday have completed the signing of Manchester City youngster, Jaden Heskey.
This publication revealed the Owls’ revitalised interest in Heskey earlier this month, and today it was explained that he was expected to finalise his loan switch before this afternoon’s midday deadline - allowing him to be named in Henrik Pedersen’s squad for the visit of Portsmouth on Saturday afternoon.
Now it has been announced that the 20-year-old son of former England international, Emile Heskey, is officially a Wednesday player for the remainder of the 2025/26 campaign.

They said this evening, “The Owls have signed attacking midfielder Jaden Heskey on a half-season loan from Premier League giants Manchester City. The 20-year-old will add pace and power to Henrik Pedersen’s squad for the remainder of the campaign. Heskey has made a big impression in the academy ranks over the Pennines, graduating to store first team experience under the guidance of Pep Guardiola... He will wear shirt number 24 for the duration of his S6 stay.
Meanwhile, his parent club said, “Elite Development Squad midfielder Jaden Heskey will spend the rest of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Sheffield Wednesday... Everyone at Manchester City would like to wish Jaden the very best of luck during his time with Sheffield Wednesday. “
Wednesday face Pompey at 3pm tomorrow, with Heskey all set to make his first senior appearance in a league game, with Murphy Cooper likely to join him as well.
