With the January transfer window now beyond the two-week mark, Arsenal are still keeping their eye out for some potential deals in the market. The Gunners have been relatively quiet in terms of movement in and out of the club, as they look to mount yet another Premier League title charge.

A summer spend of roughly £250m has already put the north London outfit in a strong position, with Andrea Berta stocking the squad with talent and depth everywhere. Despite that, manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed that the team will be active in pursuing chances in the market they think will pay off and help the team.

Recent reports have been more focused on outgoings rather than incomings, however. Ben White has been rumoured with interest from Everton, while Ethan Nwaneri and Myles Lewis-Skelly have been linked with exits over the January transfer window, in search of more minutes.

So, with that said, here's a look at the latest Arsenal transfer news and rumours ahead of another busy day in the market.

Kenan Yildiz transfer latest

Juventus are confident of retaining the services of star player Kenan Yildiz beyond the January transfer window, despite uncertainty surrounding his contract situation. That's according to TEAMtalk, which claims that the Italian club expect the 20-year-old to agree terms and sign a new deal after January, even though there has been no significant progress in tying him down to a contract extension.

Yildiz has been rated at £87m, after enjoying an impressive spell for the Serie A club, with Arsenal among those keeping tabs on his situation. The Turkish international has a deal that currently runs until 2029, but having grown into a key player since his last contract extension in 2024, teams are keen to lure him away.

While the Gunners have been on the hunt for his signature, so too have rivals Tottenham, Chelsea, Liverpool, and Manchester United. It means a move in January is extremely unlikely, while the future could hang on a new contract in the weeks and months ahead.

Oleksandr Zinchenko loan return

Nottingham Forest head coach Sean Dyche has revealed that talks have been held with Oleksandr Zinchenko over his future at the club. The defender is on loan at the City Ground from Arsenal, having sealed a late move to Forest in the summer transfer window with former director Edu Gaspar.

It was a season-long loan that had plenty of promise, but is yet to deliver for anyone involved in the deal. Zinchenko has played just 10 times this campaign, and is clearly not favoured by Dyche, who replaced Ange Postecoglou to become the third permanent manager for Nottingham Forest this season alone.

The English coach revealed talks that were held with the star, who had joined Arsenal from Man City for £32m, surrounding his situation. He told the press: "We will see what happens. We are being very open with him. He is a thorough professional, he has been and I am sure he will be going forward, no matter what.”

There is no break clause involved in the deal between Arsenal and Nottingham Forest, which makes a return awkward for all parties. The Gunners can accept a recall if everyone agrees to it, but it remains to be seen if they would be open to that possibility, as it would likely require another exit this month.

Transfer exit warning

Joe Cole has sent a warning to Arsenal that they may struggle to keep hold of some of their players in the transfer window. It comes as the depth within the squad has caused problems in terms of minutes for some stars, who are struggling to get on the pitch, with the quality ahead of them in the pecking order.

When speaking about Chelsea's squad, Cole mentioned Arsenal's transfer policy, and told Paddy Power: "You need seasoned winners in the side. I’d be looking at the PSG squad, which I think is bloated. Players who understand winning and know how and what it means to win.

"I don’t think Arsenal are going to be able to keep up with all their players, certain players there will be available at the end of the season."

The likes of Ethan Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly, and Ben White continue to be linked with potential exits over the January transfer window, with plenty of interest in landing them.
