Stan Collymore is concerned that Aston Villa may be forced to sell Morgan Rogers in the summer due to PSR problems, with reports the likes of ARSENAL, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City are all eyeing up the lad.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he is one of the big summer targets.”

Villa do have some financial issues, but they will not want to start letting their best players go, otherwise it will be a step back from all the hard work from the past few seasons.

And to be honest, Rodgers is very happy at Villa right now and will not want to leave the club.

So if big clubs do come calling, he may nota even fancy that move away from Villa

WHITE TO FORCE MOVE?

Ben White would jump at the chance to join Liverpool from ARSENAL should the Reds look to strengthen their defence in the January transfer window, according to Danny Murphy.

The versatile defender has been a crucial part in the Gunners’ development under Mikel Arteta but he has been reduced to a bit-part role over the course of the last 18 months.

That has led to speculation in the media that he could be one player that departs the Emirates, and White has been linked with a move to Everton in the last 24 hours, but reports suggest that ARSENAL do not want to sell.

However – amid that speculation – Murphy believes the player might force his club’s hand were Liverpool to register interest – He told BoyleSports: ‘Ben White to Liverpool would make sense but ARSENAL might not want to sell to a rival.

‘It would depend on how adamant the player is that he wants to go. If Ben White was an option, I think that would be a good option for Liverpool.

‘I think he’s a really good footballer, he’s a big lad. Yes, he’s had a couple of injury problems recently, but he’s an experienced guy, he’s played a lot of games and he can play centre-back and right-back.

‘The obvious good thing for Liverpool would be in that negotiation, if that was something that was to materialise, would be that any player would rather go to Liverpool than Everton, I’m not saying that because I’m a Red, I’m saying that because Liverpool are competing for the Champions League, you know, still in the top four, still in the FA Cup.

‘Whereas Everton are obviously out of the FA Cup, they’re not competing for European competitions.

‘I wouldn’t see why if LIVERPOOL were keen, then why he wouldn’t try and force that move, having said that I’d find it strange to think that Arsenal would let him go. Or they might just think they’re too far ahead of Liverpool anyway, so we’ll have to see how that plays out.’

ARSENAL WANTS GORDON

Arsenal look to have rekindled their interest in Newcastle winger Anthony Gordon, it has been claimed in the media as the Gunners continue to be linked with players that could improve the side.

ARSENAL have been talked about alot over the past couple of weeks, as they have constantly been linked with some big players with reports suggesting that Mikel Arteta may want to add a couple of stars to the side before the close of the transfer window.

Arsenal are sitting top of the Premier League, playing some great football and also have one of the best squads in the League, but Arteta knows that there is alot more games to play before the title is one and a few injuries would scupper their campaign.

Links between the Gunners and the England international have resurfaced in the last 24 hours or so as Mikel Arteta looks to further strengthen his formidable attacking options in north London.

Arsenal were mentioned in connection with Gordon last summer, having been said to have expressed an interest along with the likes of Spain star Nico Williams.
