The Sacramento Kings have had to deal with a suspension of Dennis Schroder for three games. Schroder was suspended after trying to allegedly fight a player following a game against the Lakers. He allegedly tryiedto swing at him, but didn’t connect.

Sacramento has the second-worst offense in the league. Even with Schroder, the Kings haven’t been able to move the ball well enough. He has the reputation of being a bit of an agitator, but he typically doesn’t get into big fights. His actions after the Lakers game say otherwise.

Apparently, that player isn’t the only player that Schroder tried to fight. Markieff Morris apparently also almost fought Schroder in a different circumstance when they were teammates.

Markieff Morris Says he Almost Fought Kings Guard Dennis Schroder

Morris revealed that he almost fought Schroder on the Oklahoma City Thunder team plane a couple of years ago. The alleged incident was over some money, and Morris told this on the Morris Code Show, which is his own show.

“We’re on the plane, (playing) Bourré sh**. It’s card talk. He make a play that I was like, ‘Damn, you could’ve made the play better than that.’ (He’s like), ‘Who are you to tell me what play to make?’ I’m like, ‘Bro, ni*** we playing cards. I can tell you what the f**k I wanna tell you… (Then he jumps) into, ‘I got ni**** too. I got money too.’ I’m like, ‘What the f**k that supposed to mean?’ I tell him ‘Get up right now & let’s handle this sh*t on the plane.”

Russell Westbrook was apparently involved in this, as well.

“Westbrook like, ‘Yeah, somebody need to smack that motherf*****.”

It sounds like Schroder is more of an agitator than the normal NBA fan gives him credit for. Morris certainly has a reputation for mixing it up with some players, as well. This won’t be the last time that a player gets into it over a card game on the team plane, either.

The Kings Are a Team to Watch at the Trade Deadline

Sacramento is a team to watch when the trade deadline rolls around. They have a few high-priced contracts that they could end up sending elsewhere. There have been some rumors that Zach LaVine could be on the move. Domantas Sabonis is a player that other teams would be interested in, as well.

It’s highly unlikely that the Kings add any players at the deadline. They sit 14th in the Western Conference standings, so it doesn’t make sense for them to add players. They are more likely to add some draft capital for some of the players who can help competing teams.

Sacramento is in a position that they should seek to fully rebuild the roster. It is up to the Kings’ management to decide which direction the organization is going to go in.
