Miami Heat forward Andrew Wiggins is reportedly a name to watch for the Milwaukee Bucks as the trade deadline approaches.
The Milwaukee Bucks are approaching the NBA trade deadline as buyers on the market and could be a team to make some sneaky moves.
Milwaukee Bucks / Schedule
ESPN’s Jamal Collier notes that Milwaukee’s biggest asset this trade season is its financial flexibility, as the Bucks have an opportunity to take on larger contracts, naming several potential options they could be targeting.
"One of Milwaukee’s biggest assets this trade season is its financial flexibility; the Bucks are not in the tax for the first time since the 2019-20 season and are not hard-capped at either apron, putting them in position to acquire a player with multiple years remaining on his contract," Collier notes.
"It’s where rival executives see the biggest opportunity in Milwaukee. The Bucks can absorb a larger contract with multiple years beyond this season that an opposing team might be trying to move, such as Miami’s Andrew Wiggins, who has a $30 million player option for next season, or Charlotte’s Miles Bridges, who will make $22.8 million in the 2026-27 season," he adds.
This season, Andrew Wiggins is averaging 15.8 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per game for the Miami Heat.
Meanwhile, Miles Bridges is one of the Charlotte Hornets’ key players, averaging 20.0 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game.
