Chelsea chance sign£70M star–Blues told sign 26-goal machine–Boss gives green light Chelsea sign worldie

Here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer talk from icchelseanews…

Reports have claimed Chelsea may be interested to hear that Barcelona manager Hansi Flick is reportedly keen to offload Ronald Araujo in a squad overhaul.

Araujo is a player that CHELSEA have been linked with for the last few transfer windows, he is a player that the Blues have been interested in signing, but Barcelona have never really wanted to sell and the defender never really wanted to leave.

But as reported by Fichajes, there could be a boost for the Premier League giants.

There’s a lot of competition in this Barcelona squad, so Araujo might do well to try a new challenge elsewhere to ensure he gets more playing time and a chance to really fulfil his potential.

There is no doubt that CHELSEA have a world class squad, they have one of the best in the Premier League, but they are lacking a real leader in that back-line, and getting someone with experience should be a top priority.

If the Blues get to sign Araujo, he would be a great signing for the club, especially as they could probably get him for a bargain, this is a rumour that we will keep an eye on, and one that would improve that CHELSEA back line.

We have a few more weeks left of the window to make moves for players that can really make a difference, so as we said, Araujo would be a brilliant addition to the side if we managed to get a deal done

OSIMHEN MESSAGE SENT

John Obi Mikel has claimed that the club needs more quality and experience in the attacking unit, and they should sign Victor Osimhen.

Joao Pedro was Chelsea’s most expensive signing at £60m last summer, but a further £200m was spent on key additions Jamie Gittens, Alejandro Garnacho, Estevao Willian, Jorrel Hato and Liam Delap.

Those arrivals helped CHELSEA win the Conference League last season and lift the Club World Cup trophy over the summer, beating Champions League holders PSG in the final.

However – The £60m summer signing of Pedro has scored seven goals in all competitions so far this season after bagging 30 in 70 games for his former club Brighton, and has struggled to find the net on a regular basis

That has led to all sorts of speculation and rumours about who CHELSEA could sign this transfer window, and adding a new striker to that front line that can actually find the back of the net on a weekly basis, that is what is needed.

The Nigerian International scored 26 goals for Galatasaray last season, and he has 12 goals to his name this season. He is a reliable performer at the highest level, and he helped Napoli win the league title before leaving Italy. He could have a similar impact at Chelsea if he joins the club

Mikel said via Sky Sports: “Victor Osimhen. He can stretch the play, he can run behind, he can come short, he can score goals, he can do everything.

“You need that experienced striker who’s been there, done it, knows how to win big games, knows how to score in big games, knows how to be in the right place at the right time.”

RODGERS BOOST

Stan Collymore is concerned that Aston Villa may be forced to sell Morgan Rogers in the summer due to PSR problems, with reports the likes of CHELSEA are eyeing up a move for the player

According to many reports, all the big clubs have set their sights on potential transfer deals for two of England’s top young talents in the form of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.

Rogers has developed into one of the most talented attacking midfielders in the Premier League after he made the decision to leave Manchester City on a permanent basis, and is now worth well over £100 million.

Now – amid all the speculation and rumours – Collymore has opened up and claimed that Aston Villa could be forced into selling Rodgers: “I wouldn’t be at all surprised if he has big parts to play in [World Cup] games and wouldn’t be at all surprised if Villa are fielding offers of £70, 80 [million], plus add-ons, plus players going the other way because Villa obviously need players because of PSR compliance,” he told GOAL.

“I wouldn’t be surprised if he is one of the big summer targets.”

IcChelseanews Says…

Rodgers to CHELSEA would be a brilliant signing for the club, we are massive fans of the player and firmly believe that he would offer this attack something different, he should come to the Bridge.

But money may be a problem as the club will surely not want to spend over £100M on one new midfielder at the end of the season, especially as Rodgers value will decrease with his age.

However – in terms of a statement signing, he would be massive for us.
