Liverpool fans are still waiting for their club to make a signing as we enter day 17 of the January transfer window.
The Reds have kept their powder dry in the opening couple of weeks despite losing two key players.
Alexander Isak remains out for several months, while Conor Bradley’s season-ending injury has depleted the natural right-back options.

Mohamed Salah stance on Liverpool future
Mohamed Salah’s interview after the Leeds United draw last month has caused much speculation around his future.
Slot avoided a question about the Liverpool winger in his pre-Burnley press conference, with the player expected back at Anfield next week.
MORE LIVERPOOL STORIES
Ahead of his return, David Ornstein has shared a new Salah future update.
He said: “We need to pay attention to Liverpool with the attacking position that Mo Salah occupies.
“We believe that he will be staying despite the recent uncertainty. As far as we know he wants to stay at Liverpool, he loves the club.
“However, if it doesn’t go so well, maybe there is a conversation to be had about a mutual parting of the ways next summer and then, my goodness there’s a big hole to fill, so that’s one to watch as we go towards the summer market.”
Manchester City signing Marc Guehi
Since the 2025 summer transfer window, Marc Guehi to Anfield has been a topic of conversation.
Manchester City then joined the race this month, but it was thought that Guehi would prefer to join Liverpool over Pep Guardiola’s side.
However, Fabrizio Romano then reported on Friday afternoon that Man City are paying Crystal Palace £20m to sign the defender this month.
He wrote: “Marc Guehi to Manchester City, HERE WE GO!
“Official proposal accepted by Crystal Palace right now — understand fee will be around £20m. Guehi has ACCEPTED move to #MCFC.”

When Liverpool target Yan Diomande could move
Liverpool have been interested in Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig for some time now.
Just last week, Diomande expressed his desire to play at Anfield, saying it is his father’s dream.
However, while the prospect of signing such a promising young talent should excite fans, it’s not expected to happen this month.
Instead, Romano backed Diomande to move in the summer. He said: “If you ask me, ‘Do you think Yan Diomande will move in the summer?’ Yes.”
“If you ask me if Diomande will move in January? I think this is going to be complicated because Leipzig already made big money last summer – Openda, Sesko, Xavi Simons – so they don’t need money now, but in the summer it could be a different story.”
