Liverpool are rumoured to be eyeing a number of potential new signings as the January transfer window continues. The Reds have until February 2 to finalise their transfer dealings, after which they'll have to wait until the summer to bolster their squad.
Arne Slot's team currently sit fourth in the Premier League table and are gearing up for their upcoming clash against Burnley at Anfield this weekend.
A host of players have been linked with a move to Liverpool ahead of the deadline, particularly in defence where the Reds have been forced to deal with several injuries this season.
Giovanni Leoni and Conor Bradley will be out for the remainder of the season due to knee injuries, while striker Alexander Isak is recovering from a fractured fibula and ankle injury suffered in December.

Marc Guehi stance
Liverpool are not anticipated to compete with Manchester City for the signature of Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi. The Reds attempted to sign Guehi last summer for £35million, but the deal fell through at the last minute.
Now, Guehi is widely reported to be close to sealing a switch to Manchester City, with a price tag around the £20m mark.
Our sister publication, the Liverpool ECHO, has revealed that the Reds aren't expected to challenge City for Guehi's signature, as the potential transfer wouldn't represent a "market opportunity" for the defending Premier League champions.

Malick Fofana boost
Liverpool will reportedly face no competition from Bayern Munich in their pursuit of Lyon star Malick Fofana. The Reds have previously been linked with a swoop for Fofana, and now fresh developments have emerged regarding the Lyon forward.
BILD's Bundesliga correspondent Christian Falk has revealed that Bayern are no longer in contention to secure Fofana's services, despite having previously sending scouts to monitor the 20-year-old's performances.
Consequently, Bayern are understood to have cooled their interest in signing Fofana, which will provide Liverpool with encouragement should they choose to bring the £43m-rated Belgium international to Anfield.
