West Ham United continue to hunt new signings in the January transfer window and a former Chelsea player has just emerged as a potential target for them.
The player who spent five years with Chelsea has been impressing on the continent and now West Ham apparently could make a January transfer window move for him.
Nuno Espirito Santo needs to bolster his back-line urgently, if his Hammers side are to have any chance whatsoever of avoiding relegation down to the Championship.

There will be plenty of outgoings as well as incomings at the London Stadium.
However, the most important thing for Nuno will be to sign a top-class centre-back before the January transfer window slams shut.
West Ham want to bring former Chelsea player back to the Premier League
Max Kilman is simply not good enough and Nuno has to bring in an upgrade on the former Wolves defender this winter.

The good news is that the Hammers are being linked with a hugely exciting youngster who Chelsea fans may be very familiar with.
According to a report from the Daily Mail, West Ham have been internally discussing a move for Sporting Braga’s Bright Arrey-Mbi this month.

Arrey-Mbi spent five years with Chelsea from 2014 to 2019 before leaving Stamford Bridge to join Bayern Munich.
He then left Bayern to join Hannover 96 in 2023 before moving to Braga just 12 months later and he has been a big hit with the Portuguese side.
And now it seems like his career could come full circle, with a return to London seemingly on the cards for him this winter.
Bright Arrey-Mbi an interesting option for West Ham
The Germany under-21 international stands at 6ft 2in tall and he is very strong in the air due to the incredible leap that he possesses.

The 22-year-old has impressive pace and is tenacious in the tackle.
While he’s certainly not experienced in playing Premier League football, he is a hugely talented young defender.
Bright Arrey-Mbi may well be one for the future for West Ham, but it could be argued that they need someone with more Premier League experience for the here and now.
If the Hammers bring the former Chelsea youngster to the London Stadium in January as well as another proven central defender, it would be some really smart business from the club.
