The Man Utd starting XI and confirmed team news to face Manchester City in the Premier League today.
Michael Carrick has named the first Manchester United starting line up of his head coach reign as they face Man City in the Premier League. Carrick was appointed earlier in the week and will take charge of his first match when they host their noisy neighbours on Saturday lunchtime.
United have made five changes from their FA Cup defeat to Brighton last weekend, with Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo both returning to the side after their absence due to the Africa Cup of Nations. Leny Yoro, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko all drop out of the side.
Carrick is without the injured Matthijs De Ligt for his first match in charge, while teenager Shea Lacey is suspended after he was sent off against Brighton. The former United midfielder will hope for a winning start to his second reign in charge of the club, and here is the team he has selected against City.
