This is the Chelsea team news and a predicted lineup for their Premier League London derby with Brentford. The sacking of Enzo Mareca has stopped some of the worst of it but the fanbase is still on edge with just a pitiful three wins from twelve with only one of those coming in the league, the other two were against lower level opposition in cups. How Chelsea Have Lined Up Recently
Rob Sanchez and Filip Jorgensen have started in goal for the team recently. Marc Cucurella, Wes Fofana, Trevoh Chalobah, and Josh Acheampong has been the main back four with Benoit Badiashile, Jorrel Hato, Tosin Adarabioyo, Malo Gusto, and Reece James can also move in to the back line when needed.

James has also played in the defensive midfield pivot where Moises Caicedo, Andrey Santos, and Enzo Fernandez have also lined up. Enzo, Cole Palmer, and Joao Pedro have all played in the number ten spot with Palmer, Pedro Neto, Estevao, Jamie Gittens, and Alejandro Garnacho competing for the wide spots.
Liam Delap has been the first choice striker with Marc Guiu starting the last two fixtures, Pedro can also be utilised here but it’s not his best role.
Chelsea Recent Form & Tactics
LIam Rosenior has kept the 4-2-3-1 base setup and plays with similar principles to his predecessor. The aim is to build up from the back with a high man-to-man press being utilised to win the ball back from opponents. It does have some changes with the goalkeeper getting more touches and the squad baiting the press more often, the wingers also appear to have far more freedom to take on full backs up and down the pitch.

The teams form is pretty abysmal, a 5-1 win over Charlton provided a bit of a break but they have just one league win since December 1 with the defensive side looking shakey again. They haven’t kept a clean sheet in their last eight attempts. Their goalscoring abilites have kept them in matches but they’ll need to tighten up their back line if they want to get back to winning ways and turn their form around at all.

An illness has run through the squad and combined with injuries, left the side lacking against Arsenal in terms of depth. PremierInjuries has a list of nine different absentees although one is out of date and has already returned to the bench. Levi Colwill, Romeo Lavia, James, Gusto, Palmer, Mykhailo Mudryk, Delap, and Gittens are all possibly unavailable for the derby with Brentford.

Some players could be back from illness while James and Palmer have been spotted in training. The FA Cup provided a chance to rotate so most of the first eleven have had a rest and should be good to go fitness-wise. Only some unknown knocks or injuries would take them out of the game at this stage.
