Chelsea Football Club have officially announced that Academy defender Olutayo Subuloye has signed a new contract with the Blues, keeping him at the club until at least 2030.
The Blues posted: ‘Subuloye joined the CHELSEA Academy at Under-12s level from Brighton & Hove Albion and has progressed steadily through the age groups, developing into a strong and composed defender.
‘Having captained our Under-16s in the 2023/24 Premier League national final, Subuloye earned international recognition with England Under-18s and became a regular for Chelsea Under-18s the following season. His progress was rewarded with his first professional contract in 2024
‘The defender was named Under-18s captain for 2025/26. He also made his UEFA Youth League debut for our Under-19s in a memorable 3-2 away victory over Bayern Munich and featured throughout the group stage, as CHELSEA finished unbeaten at the top of the league-phase table.
‘Subuloye has gained further experience with our Under-21s in the Premier League 2 and EFL Trophy, while also contributing to our Under-18s’ FA Youth Cup wins over Brentford and Reading.
‘Congratulations, Tayo!’
