Hugo Ekitike starts for Liverpool as Ryan Gravenberch returns for the visit of Burnley in the Premier League.

Arne Slot makes six changes in total from the team that progressed to the FA Cup fourth round on Monday evening at the expense of League One outfit Barnsley.

Ekitike has missed the recent draws with Fulham and Arsenal after a hamstring scare but returned as a substitute on Monday night with his 12th goal of the campaign in the 4-1 win over Barnsley.

France international Ekitike leads the line with Cody Gakpo selected off the left and Florian Wirtz and Dominik Szoboszlai also selected in advanced positions.

Wirtz created a goal for Ekitike and scored himself off the bench on Monday and is back in the start from the start this afternoon.

Jeremie Frimpong starts at right-back as Milos Kerkez returns on the left side. Ibrahima Konate comes back into the team to partner captain Virgil van Dijk in the centre as Alisson Becker starts.

Alexis Mac Allister drops to the bench with Gravenberch returning alongside Jones in midfield. Japan skipper Wataru Endo is also available on the bench if needed.

Liverpool: Alisson; Frimpong, Konate, Van Dijk, Kerkez; Gravenberch, Jones; Wirtz, Szoboszlai, Gakpo; Ekitike.

Subs: Mamardashvili, Gomez, Robertson, Mac Allister, Endo, Chiesa, Ngumoha, Nyoni, Ramsay.
