Liverpool U21s produced their best performance of the season as they thumped Arsenal 7-0 at the AXA Training Centre, with Kieran Morrison scoring a hat-trick.

The young Reds went into their first home game of 2026 on the back of a 3-2 comeback win over Norwich along with a 1-1 friendly draw against a strong Wrexham side in midweek.
Rob Page’s side carried the momentum with a stunning display as five different scorers contributed to a 7-0 victory over struggling Arsenal.
Three of those to start – winger Morrison, midfielder Tommy Pilling and centre-back Amara Nallo – had trained with the first team a day previous, and they were the first three to find the back of the net.

Morrison put Liverpool in front within four minutes before turning provider for Pilling two minutes later, while Nallo then made it 3-0 within a stunning long-range effort on the half-hour mark.
Striker Will Wright, who had already assisted Morrison for the opener, then secured a four-goal lead heading into the break with his first at U21s level.
Liverpool remained dominant after the interval and Morrison had sealed a hat-trick before the hour, netting twice in four minutes having been teed up by Trent Kone-Doherty and then, again, Wright.
Page made two pre-planned changes as Wright and left-back Luke Chambers – both working their way back from long-term injuries – were brought off for Keyrol Figueroa and Clae Ewing.

It was Figueroa who rounded off the scoring with 11 minutes left to play, the American striker making it 11 goals in 12 games in Premier League 2 this season as he fired in a penalty.
The win carries on a positive run of form for Page’s youngsters, who struggled for consistency in the first half of the campaign particularly in the absence of a natural No. 9 due to injuries to Wright and Jayden Danns.
Liverpool can now look to build further when they host Leeds at the AXA next Sunday, by which point the squad may have changed with the likes of Nallo and Kone-Doherty touted for loan moves.
