Man City lost 2-0 to rivals Man United in the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon.
Despite being heavy favourites going into the game, City didn’t turn up against a Man United side who underwent somewhat of a new manager bounce with Michael Carrick in the dugout for the first.
Pep Guardiola wasn’t happy after the game, and despite City adding talent such as Antoine Semenyo and Marc Guehi, it seems the Man City boss is worried about his side’s points tally compared to title rivals Arsenal, who play against Nottingham Forest later in the day.

If Arsenal manage to win against Forest at the City Ground, they will extend the gap at the top of the league table to nine points, which, considering their form, is a big gap for City to try to close in the back end of the season.
Guardiola “concerned” about Man City points tally
After the game, the Man City manager expressed his irritation following the defeat, and said he was concerned about the fact that his side didn’t pick up any points, in the title race with Arsenal.
He said in his post-match press conference: “They were the better team. It was not a bad performance. We didn’t get the result. It happens. It was a football game and they were better. They have a new manager, and they had the energy in a derby that we didn’t have.
“[I’m] concerned about the points. To score goals would be good. This [type of] game can happen; it’s more about the previous three. We change a lot in the last 12 months. The spirit has been top.”
Man City take their attention away from the Premier League with a game against Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, before getting a favourable fixture at home to Wolves next time out. Guardiola will hope his side can get back to winning ways, and more so, hope that Arsenal drop points against Forest.
