According to reports in Spain, the Reds are prepared to make a substantial offer for the France international following turmoil at the Bernabéu, where Xabi Alonso’s dismissal has sparked many rumours.
Liverpool were heavily backed by FSG last summer, spending more than £400m to support Arne Slot’s vision for the team. That investment came off the back of Slot delivering a Premier League title in his debut campaign.

Slot is said to be seeking a player capable of combining physical presence with technical quality, while excelling in the high-intensity transitions demanded by Premier League football.
Liverpool are also believed to be monitoring the broader situation at Real Madrid, hoping to capitalise on internal uncertainty to submit a formal proposal.
Jurgen Klopp could have a part to play in Camavinga moving to Anfield
Adding further intrigue, former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp continues to be linked with a return to management at Madrid. Speculation suggests that Camavinga could be one of the players sacrificed should Klopp take charge at the Bernabéu this summer.
Football Insider correspondent Pete O’Rourke has claimed Real Madrid will “try to do everything” to lure Klopp away from his current Red Bull role.
