Porter Jr. (rest) will not play in the Nets' rematch against the Bulls.
Michael Porter Jr. won't be playing in the Brooklyn Nets' Sunday rematch with the Chicago Bulls.
Brooklyn Nets / Schedule
In their injury report ahead of the weekend clash in Chicago, the Nets have marked their star forward as unavailable to play and will be taking a rest.
Porter Jr. dropped 26 points and seven boards in the team's 112-109 win on Friday against the Bulls, hitting the game-winning shot to snap the Nets' five-game losing skid.
This marks the second night of both teams' back-to-back, and Brooklyn appears cautious to give him a break.
Porter Jr. is averaging 25.8 points, 7.5 boards and 3.2 assists in 32 games. The 27-year-old stands as one of the league's top trade candidates heading to the Feb. 5 deadline, in which recent reports emerged about him and the Golden State Warriors.
