Milos Kerkez has a simple message for Liverpool fans as winless league run continues vs Burnley

Liverpool failed to make their dominance count and ended up drawing 1-1 with Burnley on Saturday.

It was a bright start to proceedings at Anfield for the home outfit, who should have been 1-0 up when Cody Gakpo won a penalty.

However, Dominik Szoboszlai missed the spot-kick, smashing his effort against the bar.

Milos Kerkez message after Liverpool draw with Burnley

Liverpool drew 1-1 with the Clarets when all was said and done, just about getting themselves back in the top four ahead of Manchester United.

However, a 12-game unbeaten run just isn’t good enough anymore, especially when Liverpool have drawn their last four league games, and even match-going fans have started to express frustration.

Arne Slot on Liverpool’s Champions League chances

Next up for Liverpool is a meeting with Marseille on Wednesday before a trip to Bournemouth next weekend.

With Chelsea and Man Utd both securing wins under new managers in the current gameweek, there’s every chance Slot’s side drop out of the top-four if they are once again off their game against the Cherries this time next week.

The Liverpool manager commented on his side’s chances of finishing in the Champions League places in his post-Burnley press conference.

As per BBC Sport, he said: “Every time you drop points it has an impact, wherever you are in the table. We have dropped points far too many points when we didn’t deserve to and we hardly got a point when we deserved less. The only one to blame is ourselves because we do this.”
