Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news, gossip and transfer latest featuring the likes of Marc Andre Ter-Stegen – Jeremey Jacquet and Vinicius Junior that we think you may have missed…
The new Chelsea defender links continue to gather pace this morning, as there have been some more reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea have made contact with Rennes over a possible deal for Jeremy Jacquet.
Across Premier League matches, the Blues have been prone to individual errors, poor organisation at the back and a lack of clean sheets — evidenced by repeated defensive mistakes leading to opposition shots and goals.
Frequent changes to the back four — with different centre-back combinations in most games — have prevented the defence from building cohesion and understanding. Stability at centre-back is crucial in the Premier League; without it Chelsea have conceded goals from set-pieces, breakdowns in structure and transitional moments where the team loses its shape.
Injuries have played a significant role in CHELSEA’s defensive woes, but Even when fit, the squad has been juggling fitness issues and rotation, often forcing less experienced players into high-pressure roles without consistent partners.
That has led to many reports in the media which have claimed that Chelsea want to keep on adding to that back-line, and now reports have claimed that Jacquet is a player that is now wanted at Stamford Bridge.
The Daily Mail have claimed that Chelsea have made contact over a possible deal for the talented defender, as they seek to beat off the attentions of Arsenal for the lad.

We have seen it before and we will see it again, CHELSEA sign some of the games best talents that are not ready to make the impact that the Blues would like, and then they are forgotten about..
Chelsea need to sign a defender that will bring leadership, quality and a proven record at playing at the very highest level of the game, Jacquet is far from that and will need time before he is ready for this move to Chelsea.
TER STEGN AGREES JANUARY MOVE
Here is the latest transfer news of a possible move to Chelsea for Barcelona star Marc Andre Ter-Stegen, as reports have now claimed that the German star has now agreed a move away from the Camp Nou.
CHELSEA are always one of the biggest spenders in most transfer windows and there has been alot more rumours in the media that the club are still looking to add a new stropper to the squad before the close of the window this month.
Much-maligned current No.1 Robert Sanchez has seen his stock rise over the last year or so, but the position is still widely viewed as a weak point that needs to be strengthened, while Filip Jorgensen has reportedly asked for a move away from the club.
The Blues pushed hard to sign Ter Stegen in previous windows, but have been unable to make a move as the German star always wanted to stay put at Barcelona and fight for his place in the side.
Now, with his career in purgatory, Ter Stegen has made the decision to leave the club, and according to Cadena SER, a definitive agreement has been struck between Barcelona, Girona and Ter Stegen that will see the German international switch allegiances within Catalonia for the remainder of the campaign.
The deal, which is now in its final stages with only minor details left to be signed off, will see the veteran shot-stopper play on loan at Montilivi until June.
This move comes after weeks of complex negotiations where finances proved to be the primary stumbling block.

Ter Stegen is a player that CHELSEA have always been linked with, and a few seasons ago he would have been a brilliant addition to the side, but not anymore. So the news that he is heading to Girona will not worry the Blues too much.
His time at the highest level is probably over and that is why he is heading to Girona rather than a big club like Chelsea
VINICIUS JUNIOR CHANCE?
There has been some shock reports in the media which have claimed that Real Madrid President Florentino Pérez has decided that the Spaniards will listen to offers for CHELSEA target Vinicius Junior.
Fichajes.net claim Florentino Pérez is not happy with all the bad publicity the club have received after the sacking of Xabi Alonso, and the image of the club has accelerated decisions that perhaps would have been postponed to the summer.
Real Madrid will not force exits, but they will listen to offers for Vinicius, Camavinga, Lunin and Fran García. All of them are, from now on, on display in the market.
The reading is clear: no one is untouchable if their performance and attitude are not aligned with the demands of the club. Not even profiles that until recently seemed unquestionable.
The board is confident that this pressure will reactivate the group. But if there is no immediate response, the plan involves a profound restructuring
Arsenal, CHELSEA and Liverpool have all been linked with a move for the Brazilian in the past and could reignite their interest if he comes onto the market.
IcFootballnews Says…
We can see why Madrid would want to sell Vinicius Junior this transfer window or at the end of next season, he is probably alot more hassle than he is worth, and greedy at that.
The Premier League would test him on a weekly basis, he would probably struggle to make any sort of impact in that CHELSEA side if the Blues make a move to try and get a deal done, he would not like the English game.
If he does leave, it will probably be to Saudi Arabia as they can afford to pay his high price and his high wage demands, and to be honest, he has won everything so going there would not be an issue.
