Liverpool are somewhat lacking a world-class talent in midfield depth for them to properly compete at the top of the tree.
Wataru Endo hasn't proven that he can step in when needed, and although Dominik Szoboszlai, Mac Allister and Gravenberch are superb options for the Reds with Curtis Jones somewhat falling into that category, you cannot class the latter as 'world-class'.
