Red Bull CEO Reveals“Truth”Behind Reports Linking Self-Confessed Liverpool Fan With£87M Move To Anfield

**Red Bull CEO Oliver Minztlaff has admitted that Liverpool target Yan Diomande could be sold at the end of the season to “generate revenue”.**

The Ivorian international only moved to Germany from Leganes last summer, but Mintzlaff admitted that if teams do make substantial offers when this campaign is over, RB Leipzig will have to consider them:

“You can’t let him go after just one year (…), but the truth is that there are also other top clubs out there (…) and we have to generate revenue.”

It has been widely reported that Diomande’s asking price is as high as €100m (£87m), despite having only made his senior debut in March last year.

Why is Diomande in such high demand?

------------------------------------

Along with Liverpool, the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the winger.

Diomande has really caught the eye for both club and country in recent months. For Leipzig, he has found the back of the net 7 times and provided 4 assists in 18 appearances. In his first 9 caps for the Ivory Coast, he has scored 3 goals.

Liverpool have a good chance of landing the player

--------------------------------------------------

While no bid for Diomande during the January transfer window is expected, the Reds could be in the mix to secure the forward’s signature next summer, and potentially, they may have an edge over their rivals.

Speaking earlier this week on a TikTok live stream, the 19-year-old [**revealed**](https://walkon.com/blog/liverpool-transfer-news-yan-diomande-2/) that he is a supporter of the Merseyside club:

“I want to play for Liverpool. I’m a huge Liverpool fan. My dad dreams of seeing me play at Anfield!”

Of course, as we have seen with other players, who you support doesn’t always influence which club you join. Antoine Semenyo is a self-confessed Arsenal fan, but he still ended up moving to their main title rivals, Manchester City.
