RedBull director Oliver Mintzlaff has reportedly told the likes of Liverpool that they dont want to sell Yan Diomande, but admits that “we have to generate revenue.”
Despite all the quality that LIVERPOOL has all over the pitch, there has been reports that the Reds have joined the chase alongside Arsenal, Man United and Tottenham in the hunt to try and sign Yan Diomande.
Diomande has established himself as one of the best young prospects in the Bundesliga since joining RB Leipzig from CD Leganes this past summer. and he 19-year-old has been one of the most productive attackers for the Bundesliga club this season, scoring seven goals and providing four assists in 16 outings in all competitions thus far
Now the Blues have been alerted to the fact that RB are open to letting Diomande leave the club in order to generate some income – RedBull director Oliver Mintzlaff told Sky: “You can’t let him go after just one year (…), but the truth is that there are also other top clubs out there (…) and we have to generate revenue.”
IcFootballnews Says…
The money that is being talked about for Diomande is well over £80 million, he has been brilliant for the German side this season and his quality and age is why that valuation is so high.
LIVERPOOL have been lacking quality this season in both attack and defender, Arne Slot has been given the money to sign the players that he wanted, and it has not worked out.
Diomande would bring energy, hungry and a desire with him that is seemingly lacking from a number of Liverpool stars right now, so if they are to replace the likes of Mohamed Salah, who has been tipped to leave, then the Bundesliga star could be a very good option.
But he is far from the finished article and LIVERPOOL would need to be patient with the lad.
