Report: Liam Rosenior is talking to Chelsea about bringing in his former player this month

Jeremy Jacquet may not be the only player Chelsea sign during the January transfer window.

There is no guarantee that the Blues do end up with Jacquet, but there does seem to be a strong possibility.

It is being reported that personal terms between Jacquet and Chelsea have already been agreed, so a transfer fee appears to be the only problem.

Should Chelsea recall Aaron Anselmino or sign Jeremy Jacquet?

The club’s priority is clearly a central defender, but there is now some speculation about a striker potentially coming in, one Liam Rosenior knows well.

Liam Rosenior discussing the possibility of signing Emanuel Emegha this month with Chelsea

Rosenior worked with Emanuel Emegha during his time at Strasbourg and, as things stand, the 22-year-old is set to join Chelsea in the summer.

However, according to TEAMtalk, Rosenior has discussed with Chelsea the possibility of bringing that deal forward and signing him in January.

Joao Pedro has been Chelsea’s main striker this season and scored in his side’s 2-0 win against Brentford on Saturday.

Pedro was arguably Chelsea’s best player on the afternoon, and his replacement did not do too badly either.

Liam Delap came on for Pedro in the 74th minute and won a penalty, which Cole Palmer was able to convert. It will be interesting to see Rosenior’s plan to keep Delap, Pedro and Emegha all happy, as he will not be able to play all three of them at the same time.

Emanuel Emegha January transfer would be the final straw for Strasbourg fans

On the subject of happiness, Strasbourg supporters have not been in a good mood this term, partly because of Rosenior’s move to Chelsea midseason.

They were also furious when it was announced that Emegha would be joining Chelsea in the summer.

That transfer being pushed forward would be the final straw for Strasbourg fans, though many will feel that BlueCo have already crossed the line after moving Rosenior from the French club to Chelsea earlier this month.
