_Kim Little notched a goal and an assist and walked away with the Player of the Matrch award (as is very often the case) during Arsenal’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Aston Villa on Sunday. Kim spoke to the press post-match, the first two questions are from Arseblog News._
**On the team performance today…**
We weren’t at our complete best at times, but I thought we rolled out the hard spells really well and then I think in the second half we needed to go. I thought we were calm and we were composed in the areas that we needed to be and saw out the game really well. Scoring from open play and a set piece, which is great. And then I am obviously just happy to assist and score. I am just doing my job.
**On how much of a target winning the Cup at Wembley is for her…**
Are you giving me giving that as a target?
Me: Yes, you bet I am.
KL: I’ll take that on board! We spoke before the game about the last time the girls won it and I obviously wasn’t there then when I was in America, but a few of our players were- Katie (McCabe), Leah (Williamson), Kelly (Smith) on the coaching staff, Jodie Taylor as well. We’re very aware that we’ve not won that trophy in a while, and I would love to get my hands on it.
**On the challenge of competing across five competitions…**
It’s exciting and it’s obviously really, really different each game and it’s a new challenge, which is fun.
**On Smilla Holmberg’s performance…**
Smilla came in today with Foxy having to go off and she had a great performance. I thought she held her own and was really dominant in that right side area, so I’m really happy for her first two games for Arsenal, and many more to come, I’m sure.
**On keeping four clean sheets in a row…**
We highlighted that at the end with Anneke as well. Being hard to score against, it’s important if we want to win trophies, So, long may that continue.
**On playing at Meadow Park…**
I have played here many times, probably the first time was in 2008 and it’s still so special, so we play a lot of games at the Emirates now, it’s such an incredible atmosphere, but we come back here, a slightly smaller stadium, but to watch the supporters just before the game singing North London Forever with the flags it’s such a special feeling.
**On the challenge of breaking Villa down…**
We know Aston Villa are a tough team to play against, we’re very aware of that and I think, at different moments in the game, we were good and we started the second half well. We spoke about how we were in a good place. We just needed to keep doing the same things and we knew it would come, and that is what happened.
