Nottingham Forest fans have been given an update on Oleksandr Zinchenko and it’s likely to go down extremely well.
The Ukraine international has been largely underwhelming since signing on loan from Arsenal and sat out of the game against his parent club at the weekend.
Zinchenko was hooked at half-time with Forest trailing 2-0 to Championship Wrexham in a recent FA Cup defeat, and that appears to have been the final nail in the player’s coffin on his career at the City Ground.
Now, Fabrizio Romano has delivered some exciting news regarding Zinchenko and it’s time for the fan base to get a little bit excited.

Update delivered on future of Oleksandr Zinchenko
According to Romano, Zinchenko is now going to depart the Reds, with Ajax agreeing to sign him from Arsenal for the remainder of the season.
Zinchenko was removed from the Forest squad for the Europa League last week, with Ola Aina being reinstated after his return from injury.
That appeared to signal that Sean Dyche had given up on Zinchenko and now he will move to Ajax to continue his career.
The player who can play as a left-back or a central midfielder will be keen to get himself playing regularly once again as he looks to move on from a really poor chapter in his career as a player.

Forest must utilise the loan market
The Reds do want to add some players to their ranks before the transfer window slams shut and it would appear that a striker and a left-back are being targeted.
With Zinchenko going, it does free up a space for another Premier League loan to come in, and it will be fascinating to see if Forest do manage to do business in that area.
Zinchenko looks finished as a Premier League player, and his alarming lack of pace made him a liability when called upon during his time at Forest.
Now, he will head to Ajax looking to help the Dutch giants and playing in a far inferior league to the Premier League should help him rediscover his very best form.
The loan market could be big for Forest in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see what Dyche can get over the line before the window slams shut.
