Lakers' Skid Worsens as LeBron, Luka Injury Questions Grow

The Los Angeles Lakers have lost five of their last six games. They lost Luka Doncic for their Saturday night matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, and they could lose LeBron James for their battle against the Toronto Raptors at home.

Times are getting tough for the team that can't seem to get healthy. JJ Redick expressed his thoughts on LA's health issues following the loss against Portland on Saturday.

"This has been like the normal all season…you get one guy healthy, another guy gets injured, you get one guy back, another guy gets injured, two guys go out so now you play without your two centers. Just been our season," Redick told reporters.

Luka Doncic, LeBron James Get Statuses Set vs Raptors

As expected, LeBron James popped up on the Lakers' injury report for Sunday's action. The superstar forward already told reporters that at his age, he's going to be questionable for the second night of every back-to-back set he plays.

While James sat out on the second night of the first sets this year, he recently appeared in two games in a row without any restrictions. Still, that doesn't guarantee James will get the nod to play on Sunday. He is officially questionable.

As for Luka Doncic, he's reportedly dealing with a groin injury. The Lakers had the star guard underdo an MRI just to make sure he's not dealing with anything concerning beyond the general discomfort the star sharpshooter is dealing with. The Lakers landed good results, but Doncic still got a night off, as he could use some rest. He is also questionable for Sunday’s game.

This year, James has appeared in 23 games. The veteran star is posting averages of 22.6 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 6.9 assists.

As for Doncic, he's averaging around his career-high with 33.6 points per game, shooting 46 percent from the field and 33 percent from three. Along with his scoring, Doncic is putting up 8.7 assists per game, while coming down with 7.7 rebounds per game.

The Lakers will be on the court for a 9:30 PM ET tip to face the Raptors on Sunday.
