Darius Garland will be out for a significant time.

Cleveland Cavaliers / Schedule

The Cleveland Cavaliers announced Sunday that the star point guard will be re-evaluated in seven to 10 days after suffering from a Grade 1 right great toe sprain.

Garland sustained the toe injury in the team's previous 133-107 win over the Philadelphia 76ers. He left prematurely and didn't return after he tweaked his foot upon landing in a turnover.

Garland notably endured left big toe issues dating back to last season. He underwent surgery and missed the initial portion of the season to fully recover.

In 26 games, Garland is averaging 18.0 points, 6.9 assists and 2.4 rebounds. He is presumably set to miss the Cavs' next five games.

With him inactive, Craig Porter and Jaylon Tyson are set to get increased minutes in handling the point guard duties for Cleveland alongside franchise star Donovan Mitchell.
