Kevin Durant is without a doubt one of the all-time greats, and he's starting to solidify that even more as he nears the end of his career.
Durant is currently 7th on the all-time points list, and he's set to move up to 6th very soon.
That would mean that he's only one spot away from Michael Jordan, who sits 5th all-time in points.
Kevin Durant set to pass Michael Jordan soon on all-time points list
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Entering Sunday night, Kevin Durant will only need 17 points to pass Dirk Nowitzki on the [NBA](https://www.sportingnews.com/uk/nba)'s all-time points list, which would move Durant to #6 on the list.
That would mean Michael Jordan is next up to pass on the list. Jordan scored 32,292 points in his career and is 5th all-time on the points list.

Jordan trails only LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Karl Malone and Kobe Bryant in this all-time stat.
With Durant averaging about 26 points this season, it would take him about 25-35 games, roughly, to pass Jordan on the list.
As long as Durant stays healthy, it should happen before the season ends, as he's still a reliable scorer night in and night out.
He's still a ways away from passing the likes of Kobe Bryant (4th all-time) after he passes Jordan on the list, but for now, he has his eyes set on passing one of the GOATs.
