Murray-Boyles (thumb) left early in the Raptors-Lakers clash.
Toronto Raptors big man Collin Murray-Boyles took a premature departure in their Sunday showcase against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Toronto Raptors / Schedule
With over six minutes left in the third quarter, Murray-Boyles was mincing in pain after his left hand absorbed a hard swipe from Luka Doncic as he attempted to take a shot. He didn't return to the game due to the left thumb injury he sustained.
He dropped 11 points, seven boards, five assists and three blocks. The Raptors went on to endure a tough 110-93 blowout loss.
With Jakob Poeltl dealing with injury absences, Murray-Boyles emerged as an important contributor for the Raptors' frontcourt.
The 9th pick of last year's NBA Draft, he is averaging 7.7 points, 5.1 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 21.4 minutes across 36 games this season.
