Oleksandr Zinchenko is set to join Ajax on loan for the second half of the season.
The Ukrainian left-back had been on loan at Nottingham Forest, but that had not worked out for either player or club, not helped by the change of managers at the City Ground. Injuries also did not help him settle in the East Midlands.
The 29-year old has previous experience of the Netherlands – whilst on the books of Manchester City he spent the 2016/2017 season on loan in Eindhoven with PSV.
With his Arsenal deal set to expire in the summer, he will become a free agent, so if he does impress at Ajax, there are already suggestions that his move could become permanent.
Ajax are currently third in the Eredivisie, and their squad has recently been bolstered by another former Arsenal full-back Takehiro Tomiyasu.
