The latest Manchester City transfer news and updates in the January window.
Man City have confirmed a double transfer exit as we enter the final fortnight of the January window. Pep Guardiola's side have already completed a deal to sign Antoine Semenyo from AFC Bournemouth, while a deal has been agreed to bring Crystal Palace star Marc Guehi to the club as well.
It is not all about new arrivals, though, after it was confirmed two players had left the club over the weekend. Claudio Echeverri has joined Girona on loan for the second half of the 2025/26 season after he returned from a disastrous loan spell with Bayer Leverksuen in which he made just one league start.
The other deal saw youngster Jadel Katongo complete a full transfer to Turkish club Kayserispor as he looks to make a name for himself in the professional game. The 21-year-old defender has signed an initial two-and-a-half year deal after his transfer was completed over the weekend. He previously spent two spells on loan at Peterborough United.

Echeverri hoping for successful loan spell
Claudio Echeverri will hope for a more successful loan spell at Girona after he struggled to make a positive impact during his time with Bayer Leverkusen.
The 20-year-old made just one league start during his brief spell in Germany, with just six Bundesliga appearances in total. He enjoyed greater involvement in the Champions League, where he featured in five of their six matches, and only missed Leverkusen's shock win over City at the Etihad Stadium.
Echeverri will hope for a positive second half of the season with Girona as he aims to earn a place in the Argentina squad for the World Cup this summer. The attacking midfielder only joined City from River Plate a year ago and made his debut when he featured from the bench in the FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace.
He went on to feature for the Blues at the Club World Cup last summer and scored against Al Ain, before he suffered an injury that left him sidelined. Echeverri joins a Girona side that currently sit 9th in the La Liga table, though they are just five points ahead of the relegation places. He will reunite with fellow City loanee Vitor Reis during his spell at the Spanish club.
