Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Jeremy Jacquet on the terms of his contract, with the Rennes defender possibly set to cost €70m and beat off London rivals Arsenal
Jacquet’s rapid development has not gone unnoticed. He is enjoying regular game time at Rennes, which has allowed him to mature quickly and showcase his defensive qualities at a high level. Several top clubs believe he possesses the attributes required to become a key player in their squads, and competition for his signature is expected to be strong.

It has been claimed that Chelsea have now reached an agreement to bring Jacquets to Stamford Bridge before the close of the transfer window, and will continue talks over the next few days to finally announce the deal.

This is a massive moment for Jacquet to make, he has been brilliant for the French side, playing on a regular basis and developing very nicely, he needs to make sure a move to Stamford Bridge is right at this stage of his career.
He may not actually want to go, but the money that is being talked about is massive for a club like Rennes and Chelsea will be getting one of the best young players in the game, and a defender that could be massive.
But to be honest, a move to ARSENAL may have been the better decision from the lad.
