Long-term Celtic target David Datro Fofana is back at Chelsea and will be sold in the coming days after rejuvenating his career in Turkey.

The 24-year-old is back on the goal trail after a stellar six months in Turkey with Fatih Karagümrü and now the Stamford Bridge side are on the brink of cashing in on the striker who they signed from Molde in 2022.

Celtic made enquiries into the availability of the Ivory Coast international before the close of the summer window before he plumped for a move to the Super Lig.

But now it's D-Day for Fofana as he gets set to leave Stamford Bridge for good with Celtic and Championship side Derby named as potential suitors.

Celtic boss Martin O'Neill hinted he wouldn't be against two new strikers arriving in this window and it appears Mohamed Bamba could be one of them.

The Lorient striker, fresh off a disciplinary issue, could leave during this window and he has been tracked by the Premiership champions.

A report in France claims a loan offer with an option to buy has been lodged for the 24-year-old.

Bamba's exit has been on the cards and has been named as part of the Lorient bomb squad by Onze Mondial, who state an exit for the forward is on the cards.

Celtic fans chanted ‘Sign a Player’ during their Scottish Cup win against Auchinleck Talbot and O'Neill is acutely aware that arrivals must happen ahead of next Sunday's crunch clash with title rivals Hearts at Tynecastle.
