Of this season’s goal involvements, 10 have come since the beginning of November. Only Manchester City striker Haaland, with 12, has managed more in the Premier League.

Wilson came through the academy at Anfield, joining the club aged eight. Before his move to Fulham in 2022 following six loan spells away from the club. However, his performances for Marco Silva’s side so far this season have seen him backed for a big move in a low-risk move given his contract situation. The 28-year-old has just six months remaining on his contract at Fulham. He has a combined 11 goals and assists in 20 Premier League appearances this term. Brown told Football Insider on 7 January that Wilson is attracting high-profile interest, which could see rival clubs move ahead of Leeds in the race to agree terms. The former scout, who has a wealth of experience in top-level player recruitment after over a decade at Man United during their most successful period, insisted Liverpool could take a punt on Wilson should he prove, he can keep up his outstanding form. “Harry Wilson is going to be one to watch,” he told Football Insider. “He’s showing this season what he can do when he’s at his best. That’s alerted a lot of clubs to his situation. I think Liverpool could be among them.
