Premier League Rival Is‘Preparing’£43M Offer For Man City Star Who Has Only Started 6 PL Games This Season

Tottenham are “preparing” a bid worth €50m (£43m) for Man City winger Oscar Bobb, according to reports in Norway.

The 22-year-old’s future has been called into question following the arrival of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth earlier this month.

There is a feeling that Bobb’s departure would be sanctioned during the January transfer window, with the forward having started just six league games so far this campaign.

Bobb is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury that he sustained in the first half of the win over Brentford in the quarter-final of the Carabao Cup, but Norwegian outlet Sporten claim Spurs are still keen to secure the player’s signature.

Bobb has several suitors

Borussia Dortmund have been heavily linked with a move for the Norwegian international in recent weeks, but an offer is said to be dependent on the Bundesliga side offloading other players first.

Chelsea also hold a longstanding interest in Bobb, although they are currently focused on recruiting a centre-back, with negotiations underway to buy Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes.

Tottenham, therefore, have a clear path to buy Bobb, as long as City are willing to sanction his sale.

Why are Spurs interested in the Man City winger?

Sporten report that the North London club are willing to invest heavily in Bobb as they believe he has a big future in the game.

A winger is a top priority for them as well, having sold Brennan Johnson to Crystal Palace for £35m.

However, they are said to be prioritising a left-sided attacker, so you do question whether Bobb would fit the bill. He is predominantly left-footed, but he prefers to be deployed down the right flank. We shall have to wait and see whether this story has any legs.
