The Atlanta Hawks have released injury updates on two important players.

Atlanta Hawks / Schedule

Center Kristaps Porzingis, who has missed the last five games with left Achilles tendinitis, is making progress in his recovery and is expected to be re-evaluated in about a week.

Forward Zaccharie Risacher, sidelined for the past five games due to a left knee bone contusion, is also recovering and will be re-assessed in roughly a week.

The Hawks, who recently traded point guard Trae Young to the Washington Wizards, acquired Porzingis from the Celtics last July in a salary-dump deal.

Since joining Atlanta, Porzingis has struggled with injuries but remains productive when healthy, averaging 17.1 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season.

Risacher, the 2024 first overall draft pick, has posted 11.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game. Atlanta is reportedly reluctant to include him in any trades.
