Former NBA player Kyle Singler has sparked concerns for his well-being after posting an unhinged rant on social media this past weekend, during which he made some shocking claims.

The 37-year-old former wingman posted a video on Instagram on Saturday, alleging that his child is being abused by unnamed people.

“I don’t feel safe,” Singler said. “I’ve got people in my life taking my money — this is a message to everybody in my life who has been messing with me. My child is being sexually, physically, emotionally, spiritually abused. Shame on everybody that knows me that’s not helping, not intervening. F*** y’all. Duke, Medford (Oregon), everybody.”
Singler, who played six seasons in the NBA after starring for the Duke Blue Devils in NCAA hoops, then said that he currently is homeless and that he’s “on his own.”
“I have people in my life f***ing me and nobody’s there,” he added. “I’m on my own, homeless and people are just feeding off me … My child has been a weapon against me, I’m not apologetic for living my life out of love — being there for people I want to be around.”
Arrest in October
Singler had been arrested and charged with misdemeanour assault in Oklahoma last October.

He allegedly grabbed his girlfriend’s head and shoved her to the ground during an incident that took place in front of their child.
“I have been taken advantage of every single step of the way and now I’m talking. Y’all talk s*** and now I’m talking s***,” Singler concluded the video.
As of Monday morning, Singler had scrubbed his Instagram account, deleting all of the posts.
Has Singler posted controversial videos before?
This isn’t the first apparent cry for help on social media from Singler.
In November 2024, he shared multiple videos that had former teammates reach out and offer help.
In videos, Singler said that he fears for his life “every day.”
”Every day, s*** is being thrown my way,” he said while walking around a room with very little furniture in it. “I have been mistreated and abused, neglected, made into a mental example. And I fear for my life every day. And people in my community make me look out as if I’m going to be someone that’s going to be a problem and make things difficult for people when I’m only trying to be helpful.
“I feel like I have a certain way about myself and strength and purpose that does not get valued or get treated properly.”

At the time, NBA veteran Kevin Love offered support for his former high school rival.
Love, who has spoken on his own battles with mental health, wrote, “I love you, Kyle. Hit me whenever.”
Love also posted to X, asking fans to show their support for Singler.
Former NBA all-star Isaiah Thomas also commented on Singler’s video, writing, “Here for you bro! Always and forever.”
Singler’s hoops career
During his NBA career, Singler played a supporting role for the Detroit Pistons and Oklahoma City Thunder. He averaged 6.5 points and 2.9 rebounds per game.
He had been a star in college for Duke University, averaging 16.2 points, 6.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game over his four years there. He also helped lead the Blue Devils to the NCAA championship in 2010 on a team that featured seven players who would go on to play in the NBA.
