Tatum had surgery on his ruptured right Achilles tendon on May 13, after suffering the injury in Game 4 of Boston's second-round series against the New York Knicks.
NBA reporter Jake Fischer earlier shared that Tatum has given an indication of his return timeline.
"Tatum has told Friend of The Stein Line Chris Haynes that he intends to return from last May's torn Achilles before this season's playoffs. An official timetable for a Tatum comeback has not yet been released."
Last season, Tatum led the Celtics in almost every major offensive category, averaging 26.8 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 6.0 assists across 72 games.
