BlueCo mean business: Chelsea now preparing £100m+ offer for "sensational" Champions League star

Chelsea are now preparing a huge offer for a "sensational" Champions League star, who could be brought in as a replacement for Enzo Fernandez.

Blues preparing offer for midfielder to replace Enzo

Fernandez has been attracting attention from European heavyweights Real Madrid, and it recently emerged that the Blues could be willing to cash-in on the midfielder, who is one of their most expensive signings of all-time.

With the Argentinian also willing to make the move to the Santiago Bernabeu, it appears as though a deal could be possible, if Madrid are prepared to stump up an appropriate fee, and the west Londoners have now started looking at potential replacements.

Nottingham Forest's Elliot Anderson is seemingly among the options, with a recent report dropping an update on Liam Rosenior's side's interest in the Englishman, and he is joined on the shortlist by a Paris Saint-Germain star.

That is according to a report from Spain, which states Chelsea are now preparing a €125m (£108m) offer for PSG maestro Joao Neves, given that retaining the services of Fernandez will be very tough.

Should the Argentina international move on, the Blues want to get a replacement through the door as quickly as possible, and Neves has been identified as a target, given his ability to dictate play.

BlueCo clearly mean business, with a huge bid in the works, but the French club are reluctant to sanction a departure, and would only cash-in on the Portuguese midfielder if they were to receive an 'irresistible' offer.

"Sensational" Neves impressing in France and Europe

The PSG star is composed in possession of the ball, averaging a pass-completion rate of 92.5% per 90 over the past year, which ranks him in the 98% percentile for midfielders, and the 21-year-old's attacking prowess is highlighted by the fact he places in the 95th percentile for non-penalty goals.

The youngster has already found the back of the net five times in Ligue 1 this season, while also chipping in with two goal involvements in four Champions League outings, despite always featuring in a central midfield role.

The Blues have set their sights on a new forward.

Moreover, journalist Matthew Law was left very impressed by the starlet last season, describing him as "sensational" in March, before PSG went on to win the Champions League for the first time.

Chelsea's number one priority should be to keep hold of Fernandez, as the 25-year-old has already proven himself in the Premier League over the past four seasons, but should the central midfielder move to Real Madrid, Neves has proven he could be an excellent replacement.
