Jalen Green out, Devin Booker available vs. Nets

Jalen Green has been ruled out for the Phoenix Suns’ game against the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.

Suns coach Jordan Ott told reporters Monday that Green, who was previously questionable for the Nets matchup, will play in the Suns’ game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday.

Devin Booker, who was questionable with left ankle soreness, is available, per Monday’s NBA injury report.

Additionally, Jamaree Bouyea (concussion) is now available after missing the last seven games.

Green played in only two games this season due to a right hamstring strain. He has been out since early November after he reaggravated the injury.

The Suns on Dec. 22 gave a reevaluation period of Jan. 5-12.

“He’s another person out there that’ll have rim presence for us and draw a lot of fouls,” Booker told reporters postgame on Saturday. “We’re all getting excited for Jalen. He’s been licking his chops getting ready for this moment. I think we’ve overdone it with keeping him out. He’s going to be healthy and strong and ready to go.”

Nets injury report vs. Suns

The Nets will be without several players for Monday’s matchup against the Suns, including Haywood Highsmith (right knee injury management), Day’Ron Sharpe (illness) and Cam Thomas (left hamstring injury).

Suns-Nets will tip off at 5:30 p.m. MST on 98.7 and the Arizona Sports app.
