With less than eight minutes to go in the third quarter, Butler caught the ball and got bumped by Davion Mitchell. As he landed awkwardly, the Warriors forward suddenly fell to the ground and grabbed his right knee, visibly in pain.

Butler tallied 17 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals in 21 minutes before he was assisted to the locker room by Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga. Golden State eventually ruled him out of the game.

Butler rejoined the Warriors after missing the team's 136-116 Saturday win over the Charlotte Hornets due to personal reasons.

Entering the home clash against his former Heat team, Butler is averaging 20.1 points, 5.6 boards and 4.9 assists in 37 appearances.

The Warriors have won 11 of their last 15 games. They are up 101-91 over the Heat entering the final frame.
