In the postgame of the Warriors' 135-112 Monday win over the Miami Heat, Kerr provided his initial thoughts about Butler's injury.

The star forward is already undergoing an MRI, for which the result is expected by Tuesday.

"He's getting an MRI right now. ... We're all really concerned, Kerr said. "We'll know more after the MRI, obviously.

"We don't know anything at this point."

Butler was mincing in pain as he grabbed his right knee with 7:41 left in the third quarter of the Heat-Warriors matchup. He landed awkwardly after catching the ball and went down hard in Golden State's offensive possession.

He didn't return to the game as he was assisted by Buddy Hield and Jonathan Kuminga to the locker room.

Right now, the Dubs are holding their breath and hoping that Butler didn't sustain a serious injury. Butler is averaging 20.1 points, 5.6 boards, and 4.9 assists in 37 appearances and has helped the Warriors to a 25-19 season run so far this season.

Acquired last year from the Heat in a blockbuster trade, Butler serves as a highly critical element to the Warriors' chase for championship No. 5 since 2015.
