Giannis gives an answer, raising more questions about his future in Milwaukee

When asked how confident he is about staying with the Milwaukee Bucks for the rest of the season, Giannis Antetokounmpo said he doesn’t know and takes it day by day.

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo didn’t have a clear answer when asked about his confidence in staying with the team for the rest of the season, following a 112-110 win over the Atlanta Hawks on Monday.

His response has sparked further speculation about his future with the Bucks, as he offered no firm answer with the trade deadline approaching.

“I don’t know, I take it day by day,” Giannis said postgame.

Some teams have reportedly delayed their trade plans to see how Giannis’ situation with the Bucks develops. When asked about it, he emphasized that it’s out of his control and that he is focused on his own performance.

“I can’t control that, I can’t control what other teams do. I just try to focus on doing my job, which is to compete and try to win games,” Antetokounmpo stated.

This marks Giannis’ 13th season with Milwaukee, and he is still under contract with the team through the 2027-28 season.

The 31-year-old superstar is currently averaging 28.9 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 5.5 assists per game.

Meanwhile, the Bucks are 11th in the Eastern Conference with an 18-24 record.
