Arsenal playmaker Ethan Nwaneri is of interest to the Toffees as well, and now David Ornstein has just issued an update on his situation.

It was reported earlier this month that Everton were weighing up a move to sign Nwaneri, along with Fulham.
The 18-year-old has been on the fringes at Arsenal, with Mikel Arteta only affording him 165 minutes of Premier League football.

Athletic journalist David Ornstein has posted an update on X, reporting that Marseille are now looking to snatch the England youth international on a loan deal.

Ethan Nwaneri prioritising game time
Nwaneriās camp are prioritising a loan switch that will secure āincreased game timeā, so for Everton to stand any chance of landing his signature, Moyes will have to offer him that.
The Scotsman has never really operated in that manner with new signings, especially for young players, so that may be a potential stumbling block.

Moyes often likes to bed new signings in and give them plenty of time to adjust to their new surroundings and the demands expected of them.
Summer signing Merlin Rohl only completed his second 90 minutes against Aston Villa on the weekend, so thatās evidence to suggest Nwaneri wouldnāt be guaranteed regular minutes from the get-go.
