Chelsea have reportedly set a sizeable price tag on a striker wanted by Celtic and Derby County this January.
The Premiership champions are desperately seeking a forward or two this window with a lack of activity in attacking areas criticised this season. One player that has been linked is Chelsea forward David Datro Fofana, who has spent the first half of the season on loan in Turkey with Fatih Karagumruk, but his recall clause is reportedly being activated amid strong permanent move interest.
Form at Molde convinced Chelsea to sign him but he has not been able to break into Blues plans and now Celtic alongside English Championship side Derby County are believed to be suitors. The Daily Mail claim that should either side want to sign him, Chelsea are keen to recoup the £10m outlay they’ve spent on the forward.

They claim: “Chelsea have recalled David Datro Fofana from his loan at Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk with a view to a sale. The Blues signed the striker from Molde for £10million and want to get their money back. Celtic are among those interested.”

What have Celtic discussed over transfers this January?
“The main priority remains getting another striker in. Celtic have taken details about targets on their list and from this meeting they are expected to narrow things down and push to finalise deals. They are also looking at wide options, central defenders and possibly to bring in another goalkeeper.”
Possible rivals for Fofana, Derby County, have made their signing stance clear for January recruits. Boss John Eustace said of possible winter business for the Rams: "We will wait and see. Obviously, we only want to bring in players that are good enough for the squad and improve us, not just bring bodies in for the sake of it.
"It's very evident when you look at all the squads around, even against Preston, who are throwing on all their bigger name players - the squads are strong. What we have got at Derby is a squad ready to fight and scrap for every point. That's all I've asked for. I'm very lucky to be working with a fantastic squad of players who will give everything for each other in the football club. And if we can bring in one or two to make us better, we will do. But if not, then I'm very happy with the group."
