£108M‘complete midfielder’now wanted at Chelsea as big star eyes exit

Chelsea are eyeing up an end of season move for PSG star Joao Neves, as a possible replacement for Enzo Fernandez, who has been linked with a sensational move away from the club

The 24-year-old thrived under Maresca and was left disappointed by the club’s decision to part company with the Italian earlier this month following the breakdown in the relationship between the coach and board

And according to L’Equipe, Fernandez has been so unsettled by the latest managerial upheaval that he is weighing up leaving in the summer, amid interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

The reigning European champions built last season’s success around a midfield trio of Vitinha, Joao Neves and Fabian Ruiz, but Luis Enrique is keen to add more competition for places.

Chelsea are well aware that they will need to find a replacement for Fernandez if they sell him, and a Spanish report has revealed that the Blues are planning to raid Paris Saint-Germain for Joao Neves.

According to Fichajes, ‘CHELSEA are preparing a €125million (£108.4m, $145.5m) offer’ for Neves, whom the report has described as ‘a complete midfielder’.

IcFootballnews Says…

Look, there is no doubt that Neves is a quality player, he is world class even and a man that could come into that Blues side and make a real difference, But Enzo Fernandez is just the same kind of player, so letting him leave would not make sense.

All the rumours is just speculation, If CHELSEA do want to allow him to leave, if he does want to go, that will be something that will get sorted at the end of the season. For Now, he will focus on winning games for the club.

He wants to win trophies, and if he is able to give Liam Rosenior his best football, Enzo will be a big factor in the immediate success of the Blues
