Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior has been boosted this lunchtime by the return to training of one of his key players.
There has been a mysterious flu-like illness going around the squad and coaching staff in the last week or so, with many of the players being struck down with it. Liam Delap even had to pull out at the last minute of a game last week due to the illness coming on suddenly.

Estevao Willian was missing from the squad that beat Brentford 2-0 on Saturday afternoon due to the same illness and of course, he is always a big miss.
But it looks like the Brazilian attacker will be fit and ready to go for Chelsea’s next game, which happens to be tomorrow night in the Champions League against Pafos.
It’s a big game for Chelsea as they look to try and climb back up the big Champions League table and attempt to go through to the knockout stages soon, and having Estevao back available for selection is going to be a major upside for Rosenior and Chelsea.
Estevao back in training

As I type this, Chelsea are currently in an open training session and Estevao has been spotted taking part in full training, as seen above.
Let’s hope the illness has gone

Not just for Estevao, but let’s hope we have managed to move it out so that no more of the players get struck down by it and have to miss any more games as we head into the crucial second half of the 2025/26 football season.
There are some very big games coming up in the league as well now, games that can only been seen as must wins if we want to qualify for next seasons Champions League.
