Gabriel Jesus is in a ‘good way’ to support Arsenal’s ambitions

**Gabriel Jesus**has given his thoughts on the role he wishes to play for **Arsenal**this season.

The Brazilian suffered an ACL injury against **Man United**in January 2025, and he spent nearly a year on the sidelines in rehab, returning to action in a 3-0 victory over **Club Brugge**in December. The forward adds to the options in the role of the number nine, and he has his eyes on big targets.

The Gunners have one foot in the final of the Carabao Cup, sit seven points clear at the top of the Premier League table, and are six for six in their Champions League campaign. The six-year drought for major honours should come to an end by May, and Jesus wants to be there for the ride.

*"My first target is to be healthy, from now till the end of the season. This is my fourth season at Arsenal, and, unfortunately, I played maybe one-and-a-half, two, and then the rest with injuries.*

"I'm so glad that since I came back, I have had a lot of minutes. So I think we are building something good for me, for my knee, for my whole body. So, I'm in a good way to help the team."

"I think every single player in every team, every club, every supporter, they believe their team can win the Champions League title. We believe. We have to believe. Otherwise, why are we here? So, we believe. But obviously, we know that there's still a long way to go.

"In football, you have to play each game like a fighter and that's what we are doing. We are trying to play each game to win and then, at the end of the season, we see where we are and I think, once again, we are in a brilliant place."
